Pula Aviation Services is pleased to announce the extension to the partnership with our chosen charity partner, Lia’s Wings, with an agreement to donate three years of non-restricted funding.
Building upon strong partnership foundations set back in March 2023, when the charity formally re-branded as Lia’s Wings, this donation shows a strong, continued commitment to helping Lia’s Wings become an established charity, supporting in their goal: to become the go-to source of support, information and advice for pediatric and neonatal fixed-wing medical transfers.
Steve Page, CEO of Pula Aviation Services was keen to share his thoughts on our partnership, which has already achieved a huge amount of good, and is set to achieve even more over the next three years:
‘We take great pride in our partnership with Lia's Wings, which has a special place within our aviation businesses. Selecting Lia's Wings as our group charity was a natural and straightforward choice as we continue on a shared journey to make a lasting, positive impact. This pledge captures the responsibility and a culture of compassion that resonates throughout our business and extends to our families and business partners.
Our active involvement with Lia's Wings is a testament to the success of our air ambulance missions. Whether it's our medics, pilots, engineers, or ground staff, each team member plays a crucial role.
We look forward to supporting Lia's Wings in 2024 and contributing to the well-being of many families.’Charlotte Young, CEO of Lia’s Wings, wanted to express her gratitude, and hope for what this support will mean for Lia’s Wings going forward:
“Pula Aviation Services and their team of dedicated staff were instrumental in supporting Lia’s Wings in what was our busiest ever year in 2023 – with a record 32 transfers undertaken – and as we look ahead to 2024, we are privileged to have everyone at Pula Aviation Services working with us to ensure we can support more children than ever before.
As we set out our strategy for the next three years; looking to increase our work in the UK and overseas, providing more support to families, and developing our relationships across the NHS, knowing that this unconditional support is there means a huge amount.
We are incredibly grateful to PASL for everything they do for us, and we are looking forward to working in partnership with them to raise even more funds and awareness of the back of this incredibly generous donation for the next three years, and hopefully beyond.”
